Hafid Ayllón

Hafid Ayllón is a fashion photographer with more than fifteen years of editorial, beauty and campaign work.

He was born in Mexico and has lived in the United States for thirty years. That double view runs through the work: two countries, two languages, two ideas of what a beautiful picture is. In his frames women lead. They are never decoration.

He shoots on a Hasselblad X1D II and works with small teams: a stylist, hair and makeup, and a location with a character of its own. His rule is the same for a campaign and for his personal series. The picture has to hold tension, or it does not make the edit.

His personal projects, including Sin, Lust, Love, Power and Absence, feed the fashion work, and the fashion work feeds them back.
